Aside from this wig being in listed in the Toys and Games department and Amazon's insistence that I tell you all about how educational and fun this wig is, I did want to write a review on this for any potential cosplayers or lolitas out there looking to purchase this wig. 

1. This wig is well made. It is actually a long curly wig with two extensions which you can use (or not) at your discretion. The wig features a lace wig front/back and has adjustable straps to tighten the wig around your head (for those who have a smaller head than me!) 
2. The fibers are of decent quality for a wig of this cost. It doesn't shed a lot, which is always a plus for a wig. 
3. The colors are pretty close to the picture, HOWEVER, the reason I am giving this wig only 4 out of 5 stars is that the wig extension's pink and the base wig pink are NOT the same shade. The extension's shade is more vibrant and bubblegum in color whereas the wig itself has more of a light cotton candy color. 

To me, this is not a deal breaker since you are free to take the extensions off and use them however you wish. It's also alright because put together, you really don't notice the color difference much. However, I know some people are quite picky about their wigs. 

Also, if you are going to use the wig extensions, you really need to pin the wig to your hairline, otherwise the weight will probably cause your wig to slip a lot. 

Other than that one minor issue, this wig is really quite good for the price. I would recommend this seller to cosplayers if they happen to have a wig you are interested in. 

Also, this seller (MeiLiFang) included a small mirror and comb to tease out my wig. That was very nice of them and it was very easy to comb through (provided you stop before the curls).

[Japanese Supermodel] Ayaka Sayama

Ayaka Sayama is a Japanese supermodel. She was born on May 17, 1993 in Kanagawa, Japan. She is one of those supermodels that have a really cute face and she is just so adorable! She has been in the entertainment industry beginning in 2009. 

However, it has not been until 2012 that she has tried her talents in movies and dramas. As of this writing, Ayaka has starred in one TV movie called “GTO Aki mo Oni Abare Supesharu!” She has also starred in the famous cartoon series called “GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka.” Also, her other TV drama appearance is in “Sugarless.” 

Ayaka Sayama stands at 157 centimeters tall and has the type A blood type. Ayaka has had the great fortune and luck of doing photo shoots for Young Magazine in September 2009 and doing a photo shoot as well for the famous Sabra magazine on December 25, 2009. It is quite an accomplishment when you can say that you were able to do something like this on Christmas Day. 

Ayaka Sayama has also released three photo books. They are “AYA” released in 2009, “Vanilla Peach Whip” released in June 2010, and “Candy Girl” released in November 2010. 

She has also released several DVDs. The very first one called “Pure Smile” has turned out to be one of her most important releases. Her other DVD releases include “Parasol”, “100% Freshly Squeezed kyu and raw Gokkun the Kaori Aya”, “Angel Devil”, “Aya Color”, “17 Teen Sweetheart Miracle ~ Sadness”. This one in particular was released in March 2011 when she was still 17 years old. So that title makes perfect sense. 

In 2011, she followed up that release with “Doki Girl” and her latest DVD called “Aya Chu.” When she is not busy doing photo shoots and other work related things, Ayaka enjoys listening to music as a hobby.

[Cosplayer Profile] Interview with Cosplayer Ashley Rogge

We had the pleasure to exchange a few words with Ashley Rogge, an up-and-comer in the popular world of cosplay. Although new to the scene, she already has a number of costumes under her belt including a gender-bent Ghost from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Viola from Saints Row: The Third, and the extremely popular Gamer Zombie!

[UMDR] What made you want to be a part of the cosplay phenomenon in the first place?

Ghost

[Ashley] Last year was my first time going to a convention at all. A friend had invited me to go to PAX East 2012 with him and there was no way I could pass it up. He knew my favorite character from Call of Duty was Ghost and he had bought me a skull mask just like his from the game. At PAX, my friend let me wear army gear he bought for his Ghost cosplay and I walked around as a gender-bend version of him.

I got stopped for pictures a lot! I stood in the lobby with my arms crossed without moving, except my head, for hours. People would come up and ask for pictures and say how badass I looked. I even had one of the side vendors give me a whole bag of little pins as well as a sketch of me standing there.

It was honestly the most fun thing I’ve done. I was never one to be photogenic, but I think that day in the lobby and pretending to be someone else is what sparked my interest.

[Tutorial] How To Draw An Ear

It started when I read an article about an Indonesian drawing artist who've been contracted by DC Comic. Then I browsed his works and they're awesome. Seeing all those pictures bring back my memory how I like drawing comic characters and it has been a very long time since I draw comic characters. So, I searched youtube for some tutorial on how to draw manga or comic and I find these video. I hope you enjoy watching it like I do.

[Cosplay Chara] Queen's Blade Airi

Airi (アイリ) is a wraith summoned by The Swamp Witch, to kill her enemies in the Queen's Blade Tournament. Airi is totally devoted to her mistress, the Swamp Witch, much more so than Menace or Melona. She can suck away the life energy of her enemies simply by touching them.

Airi has long, red hair in twintails and blue-green eyes. She is always seen wearing a french maid outfit and wielding a large scythe.

Airi is a calm and reserved person, who is generally kind but will attack people if need be. Her kindness, however, can get in the way sometimes, as a wraith, she must feed on others' life force. She is also very dedicated to the duties given to her by The Swamp Witch.

Airi is a powerful combatant, able to wield her scythe with great accuracy. Airi can summon "lesser spirits" to entrap enemies, summoning a multitude of ghost-like beings to hold down a foe. Although she is capable of flight, Airi usually prefers close range combat, so she can consume her opponent's life force. When Airi drains life force, she needs to be near enemies- the life energy flows from the opponents' mouth into Airi's mouth, and Airi usually accomplishes this through a kiss. To escape a losing battle, Airi will become incorporeal, although it can take a few seconds to accomplish. When Airi assumes incorporiety, her maid costume disappears, leaving a white set of undergarments, and then her clothes disappear, and then she herself disappears as well. Airi also possesses rapid regeneration abilities (Although not like Melona's regeneration, which is due to her amorphous nature)- her injuries healing quite quickly after attacks. Her outfit is also tied to her health status and concentration, and will vanish if she is relaxed or low on energy.

Cosplay Final Fantasy Versus XIII 'dirilis' dahului game aslinya

Memang belum ada penjelasan resmi dari pihak Square Enix tentang perilisan Final Fantasy XIII VERSUS (FFVXIII), namun cosplay tentang game satu ini lebih dahulu banyak 'dirilis.'

Dalam berita sebelumnya, ada rumor yang mengatakan bahwa Square Enix tidak mempunyai rencana untuk merilis FFVXIII, namun dengan cepat mereka membantah hal tersebut.

Square Enix menyatakan bahwa mereka akan tetap meluncukan FFVXIII. Sayangnya mereka masih menyembunyikan jadwal perilisannya.

Uniknya, walaupun dirilis secara resmi dan namun beberapa karakter di game tersebut justru 'hidup' terlebih dahulu. Banyak cosplayer, sebutan untuk pemeran cosplay atau costume play, yang justru berdandan seperti karakter di FFVXIII yang sampai sekarang belum diketahui dengan jelas tersebut.

Kotaku (29/03) melansir bahwa ada kemungkinan para cosplayer ini tidak terlalu mempedulikan sudah atau belumnya game tersebut dirilis. Mereka hanya terpaku pada bagaimana menjadikan diri mereka seperti sosok salah satu karakter di game tersebut.

Kabar lain mengatakan bahwa ada kemungkinan FFVXIII ini hanya dibuat khusus untuk pengguna PlayStation 3 saja. Belum ada konfirmasi resmi seputar game satu ini.

Most of the cosplay characters I post here are taken from manga/anime/game characters. But today, the character is taken from a movie, a western movie, called Sucker Punch. I watch the movie several times but I never finish watching the movie till the end. The plot is very slow, not my taste.

One of the scene that I like is when "Babydoll", the main character, was told to dance. So, she imagined herself as a japanese student fought giant samurai. Awesome scene, it was like you watch a video clip.

The uniform she wore was the usual japanese student uniform, sailor uniform. Iori is very good in cosplaying the character. Wearing blonde wig and blue eyes lense make Iori no different with the real Babydoll.

This is the third time I post Sheryl Nome cosplay, not because I like this character so much but when I browse the net to find which pics should I upload, I find these pics. This also the third time for Saku, the model, to show up :) 

These pics make Sheryl Nome a little dark, different with the previous pics, and sexy. Detail for the costume is quite difficult and brave. It takes courage to wear the costume but Saku is quite famous for ero cosplay. For those who don't know what eros cosplay is, I will talk about it someday. Now, enjoy the pics.

Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC) 2012

Do you know that on 1-2 September 2012 there will be a convention held in Singapore? Yes, you heard me. Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention 2012 will be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. So, if you have a chance to come, be there!

For those cosplayers out there, there will be two famous cosplayers that attend the convention. Touyou Hibiki and Kaosaka Yun.This will be their first appereance in Singapore. Touya Hibiki is known for her charming portrayal of male characters. I don't think I've made a post about her, but I will :) . On the other hand, I've posted Kaosaka Yun's cosplay characters. Yun and Touya have worked together as couples from popular anime series such as Gintama and Uta no Prince Sama.

There also will be DJ Battle between DJ haLRu from MONOMIND vs DJ Zanio from ZANEEDS. DJ haLRu is famed for being the Mastering Engineer for popular Doujin releases such as Anime House. This battle will turn out to be an ultimate Touhou vs Vocaloid showdown that fans will not want to miss.
